Working with carbon fiber is not as difficult as it might seem.
If you can handle fiberglass cloth, then you will be able to work with carbon fiber cloth as well.
The main difference is that carbon fiber has a texture, so you have to be careful with how you stretch it,
another difference is that you need epoxy hars (fluid), and that the result needs hours of fine sanding.
Carbon fiber cloth is not really expensive.
What makes custom made carbon parts so expensive is the hours and hours of work and sanding to get it perfect.
But, if you have a lot of free time to spend, then it sure is worth a try !
